NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Board of Directors of Camp Chomeish of New England is proud to announce the $1,800,000 purchase of The Klar Crest Resort in Moodus, Connecticut, to serve as the new home of Camp Chomeish.

The camp is located in the picturesque setting of Moodus, in the center of the state of Connecticut, just 45 minutes from metropolitan New Haven. The camp offers a wide variety of programs on the 20 acre campus, serving campers entering grades 3 through 8. The campus features an array of fields and facilities to accommodate a wide range of sports and every “game that finishes in ball:” baseball, basketball, volley ball, soccer etc. In addition to kayaking in the camp pond, swimming in their in-ground pool, arts and crafts, camp fires, and other traditional camp activities; each day will be filled with new experiences and great opportunities to develop lasting friendships. All this will be highlighted with exciting trips to amusement parks, other attractions, and exploring nature trails and castles.

The new facility has over 30 cabins for campers and staff, each fully finished on the inside, with 2 full bathrooms and showers. Each air-conditioned cabin will house no more than 8- 10 campers and staff, in accordance with our State of Connecticut Youth Camp license.

The dual new kitchens will provide the best in kosher cuisine, under the strictest supervision, as well as room for campers to try their hand at cooking and baking everything from pizza to traditional and delicious challah. The large, fully air-conditioned and modern dining room, and additional multi-purpose room, complete with stage, have a seating capacity for over 400 people.

The large Olympic size swimming pool will provide hours of refreshing fun and excitement as well as certified swimming instruction.Since its beginning in 1998, Camp Chomeish has set a standard for all camps to follow. Parents are confident and comfortable sending their children with the knowledge that their daughter will receive the same love, care, attention to values and tradition, and concern as in their own home, while enjoying a summer unsurpassed in excitement, learning, and growth in so many areas. They know that only the highest standards of tzinus and devotion to the Rebbe are emulated by all staff and that they experience firsthand what the Rebbe expects from each and every girl as it is written in the Bas-Mitzvah letter - to be a “dugma Chaya” of a bas Chabad. Everyone that ever attended an overnight camp remembers the singing on Friday night, the campfire songs and stories, the warm friendly atmosphere between the campers and the staff. Camp Chomeish will again bring all this to your daughter.

It should also be noted that along with the new facility, a new Executive Board has been formed to oversee the planning, management, and running of the new camp, to ensure that campers and staff alike enjoy a fulfilling summer in every way, both b’gashmius and b’ruchnius.
